Private Sauna: 1400 NOK (up to 10 people).
Drop-In: 240 NOK per person. Please book a ticket for each person, as unpaid extra guests will incur a fine.
Entry code: Will be sent to you after booking via email and text message, (check your spam).
Facilities: We have a simple bathroom located in the red barn, please refrain from using the campsite facilities.
Booking & Heating
Book Ahead: It takes us about an hour to get the sauna nice and hot, we will turn it on before you arrive.
Warm & Ready? If you see others using it, it’s already hot and ready to book right away! Feel free to give us a call if you're unsure.
Signal Tip: Mobile reception in Bakka can be tricky and may interrupt payment and texts. If your confirmation email doesn't arrive, just drop us a message and we'll help you out.

Welcome to Wild Sauna Bakka, Gudvangen
Located in the charming village of Bakka, right in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Nærøyfjord, our sauna offers breathtaking panoramic views and direct fjord access for a cold dip. We are just a 10-minute drive from Gudvangen, 25 minutes from Flåm, and 50 minutes from Voss.
Whether you are ending a hike up Bakkanosi or Rimstigen, starting a summer morning near your campervan, or warming up after kayaking, our little barrel sauna is built for a cozy, memorable experience year-round.

How it works
Capacity & Booking: Book a Drop-In seat (up to 8 people) or a Private Session (up to 10 people).
Door Code: You will receive a code via SMS and email to open the door padlock.
Pre-Heating: We make sure the sauna is warm for your arrival. Heating takes 1 hour in summer and 2–2.5 hours in winter, so please book in advance. If it’s already running, check the thermometer through the panoramic window and feel free to book for right now!
Facilities: The sauna has a small changing room, but no shower. Toilet facilities are available in the red barn (first building on your right heading toward Gudvangen) using your door code.
How to Get Here & Parking
The sauna is located at the boat dock in Bakka—drive to the village along the fjord road and you can’t miss it!

Drive right up to the sauna and park inside the fenced parking area in front of the sauna. Please obey local parking rules and respect our neighbours and local businesses.
Key House Rules & Good Practice
Our self-service sauna runs on mutual trust and guest cooperation. Please keep these essential rules in mind:
Drop-In Bookings: Every guest must have a paid ticket. Unpaid extra guests incur a 2,000 NOK fine.
Fresh Water Only: Fill the stove water bucket using only the freshwater tank outside. Never pour fjord/salt water on the stove (incurs a 2,000 NOK fine).
Fire Safety: Do not place towels, clothes, buckets, or objects within 1 meter of the sauna stove.
Footwear & Drinks: Remove shoes before entering. No alcohol, snus, or colored drinks inside.
Respect the Area: Please stay on the sauna dock area. The sandy beach to the left and campsite toilets belong to the campsite and are off-limits to sauna guests.
Locking Up: Close the inner glass door properly, tidy up, and lock the outer padlock when leaving.
